Good things.

Having a nice weekend with awesome girls in Berlin.
Washi tape.
Having a nice sunday with an awesome girl in Nürnberg.
Woschech. Again and again. This cat is great.
Getting a small parcel with chocolate at work from a nice customer. Just like that.
Having four days off.
Looking forward to spring time while ignoring this snow-rain-muddy-nonsense out there.
The Scared is scared.

Not so good:
Woschech won't have two eyes any longer. Due to his cataract his right eye will be removed tomorrow.
He's already completely blind on this eye and his eye pressure is always way too high because the infection is too strong.
I will think about cookies and other things I like until I can pick him up in the evening.

Lime maple dressing.

For a nice and cosy silvester potluck (for which everyone cooked waaay too much) I made a pasta salad with the best dressing I've ever made before.
I'm seeing lots of different salads with this dressing, not only pasta. I see potatoes, I see chickpeas, I see green salad and fresh tomatoes, lamb's lettuce and so on and on....

for the dressing:

oil
2 big pink (or red) onions
2 cloves of garlic
maple syrup
juice of 1 lime
salt, pepper

rest of this salad was:

500 g pasta (linguine)
200g cherry tomatoes
1 small can artichokes

Finely dice the onions, smash the garlic gloves and dice, too.
Fry on medium heat in a little oil until onions and garlic are getting translucent, stir from time to time.
Deglace with maple syrup. I don't have a clue how much I used, but it was approximetaly 100ml.
Add salt and pepper and let simmer for 2 minutes to caramelize the onions. Then add the lime juice and simmer for another 1 or two minutes.
When I tried it, it was very sourish so I added another table spoon maple syrup. Just do this to your taste.
Then put the dressing aside and cook the pasta al dente.
In the meanwhile, cut cherry tomatoes in half and sautée in a little oil til they begin to melt. For about 4 minutes or so. Drain the artichokes and cut in half.
Mix everything with the linguine and add dressing. I let sit the salad over night but in retrospective I'd say it was even better when it was fresh.

Point. And shoot.

Alright, the Yashica T4 is good for shows, too. But I'm really looking forward to taking pictures with my Minolta again, it hopefully will be repaired in a few weeks.
But what I really enjoy about the Yashica is, as expected, to take the little point-and-shoot everywhere. It's always with me. And I especially like the portrait shots. In the daylight they are really well focused and have a soft touch but are sharp though. But even the pictures at night using the flash light are pretty cool; and as it is a tiny bit quicker to take pictures than with a SLR you get a bit different faces - people aren't very aware of the camera anyway.

Probably this will push me a bit to take more portraits. And more pictures in general. But actually I'm already in the middle of it.

More pictures here.

Pictures.

The on/off switch of my Minolta Dynax 5 is broken and this is my camera for shows.  I have a Canon A 1 which I totally love but I don't like taking pictures at hardcore punk shows with it, for different reasons.
However I bought a Yashica T4 and am taking pictures like a maniac at the moment to find out how it works in different light situations. The first few results are pretty nice and so far the Yashica accompanies me where ever I go.
Maybe I will switch to the T4 for show pictures for a while until my Minolta is fixed.

You can see more of it here: Yashica T4

I didnt' find the time to go to the darkroom for taking prints of all the thousands of negatives which pile up on my desk so I started to scan the films. You can see more of it here: Shows
I especially like this picture of Helen from HYSTERESE. Pretty cool people, pretty cool music and a pretty cool shot, I think.

There's more to come so take a look at my flickr site from time to time.

Good things.

For obvious reasons I'm totally not interested in christmas or any christmas related things. But I am interested in super sweet presents and if friends have an Astrid-Lindgren-kinda-christmas-fever I am totally down with it.
The loveable Hannah made some chocolate crossie-thingies (the jar is wrapped with psychedelic cats!) and diy teabags, everything came with some star shaped paper clip-magnet-things and a postcard. Everything in this so perfect.
