Had a few days off. I didn't manage to fulfil everything I planned, but I did manage to be as lazy as possible. Pretty good closure before going back to work: Driving to a show on a Sunday night with pretty nice people. Sitting outside between ugly concrete walls on wobbly garden chairs mocking about the opening band and watching the sky full of stars above us. Then going back into a dark, sweaty basement to listen to the second band which play total summer music. Coming home very late, not being able to sleep. Being totally tired but exhilarated on Monday, sad to be back at work again but with happy summer music in my head. Sometimes it's stunning how cheerful I can be.

Point. And shoot.
Alright, the Yashica T4 is good for shows, too. But I'm really looking forward to taking pictures with my Minolta again, it hopefully will be repaired in a few weeks.
But what I really enjoy about the Yashica is, as expected, to take the little point-and-shoot everywhere. It's always with me. And I especially like the portrait shots. In the daylight they are really well focused and have a soft touch but are sharp though. But even the pictures at night using the flash light are pretty cool; and as it is a tiny bit quicker to take pictures than with a SLR you get a bit different faces - people aren't very aware of the camera anyway.
Probably this will push me a bit to take more portraits. And more pictures in general. But actually I'm already in the middle of it.
More pictures here.

Pictures.
The on/off switch of my Minolta Dynax 5 is broken and this is my camera for shows. I have a Canon A 1 which I totally love but I don't like taking pictures at hardcore punk shows with it, for different reasons.
However I bought a Yashica T4 and am taking pictures like a maniac at the moment to find out how it works in different light situations. The first few results are pretty nice and so far the Yashica accompanies me where ever I go.
Maybe I will switch to the T4 for show pictures for a while until my Minolta is fixed.
You can see more of it here: Yashica T4
I didnt' find the time to go to the darkroom for taking prints of all the thousands of negatives which pile up on my desk so I started to scan the films. You can see more of it here: Shows
I especially like this picture of Helen from HYSTERESE. Pretty cool people, pretty cool music and a pretty cool shot, I think.
There's more to come so take a look at my flickr site from time to time.
